This room features busts and portraits of some of the most outstanding figures of the Italian Risorgimento, in an efficacious alternation of representatives of the democratic republican current of thought and representatives of the liberal constitutionalism which characterised the Kingdom of Sardinia after 1848.

The frieze depicts events from Clement VII's pontificate.
