Italian residents and overseas visitors who wish to watch Senate debates on current issues or bills from the public gallery should send a request by mail (Servizio di Questura e del Cerimoniale - Visite ai Palazzi - Senato della Repubblica - Piazza Madama, 11 - 00186 Roma), fax (+ 39 06 92912878) or e-mail (visitealsenato@senato.it).

The request must include the following personal details:

• name and surname;
• place and date of birth;
• nationality;
• address;
• number, place and date of issue, expiry date of a valid identity document;
• telephone number.

Normally, sitting days are Tuesday-Thursday (see "Calendario dei lavori"). Dates are fixed chronologically according to the order in which requests are received, subject to availability.

Please note that:

• guided tours of Palazzo Madama are separate activities;
• should the sitting be adjourned, the public is not allowed into the gallery and no alternative activity is provided;

Appropriate clothing is required, in general, and men must wear jacket and tie.
