On the fringe of the Summit of G20 Speakers of Parliaments, UVI officials met with the leaders of the main assessment bodies of Argentina, the Chair of the Budget Committee of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies, Mr Luciano La Spina, and the Head of the Budget Office (Oficina de Presupesto), Mr Marco Makon. At the Casa Rosada, they met with the Undersecretary for the Evaluation of the National Budget, Mr Maximiliano Castillo Carrillo, the Coordinator of the Cabinet of Ministers, Mr Nicolas Pavlovsky, and Cabinet Adviser Mr Alejandro Fontan Balestra.
Oficina de Presupuesto, CIPPEC and the Senate Impact Assessment Office (UVI) discussed the possibility of starting a collaboration, including the organization of bilateral events on budget analysis and evaluation and public policies.
