The Senate buildings - Palazzo Madama (First floor)
Marconi Hall
This hall houses the busts of Guglielmo Marconi and Pietro Canonica.
The frieze, attributed to Pietro Paolo Baldini, depicts episodes at the time of Pius IV. The 17th century golden wood ceiling with beams that form sunken panels was probably placed over a pre-existing one.
On the walls, two views of the Roman Forum and Baths of Diocletian painted by Giovanni Paolo Pannini (1691-1765) and a portrait of Victor Amadeus II, Duke of Savoy can be admired.
